Tidy Up
Tidy Up
Stratford Circus Arts Centre
3 March 2018
£8 - £10
Wednesday 07 February 2018

Have you ever pondered why your little ones idea of tidy doesn’t quite match yours? Ever wondered why what you see as mess has an entirely logical order in their minds? Well this show looks to explore exactly that – order and chaos and everything in between!

Tidy Up, presented by Peut-Être Theatre, is an explosion of colour and life in the form of a dance theatre show. The performance follows a group of dancers as they attempt to learn if order and chaos can ever live comfortably alongside each other, exploring this question through movement and comedy. The physical action is complimented by the crazy props, from giant sponge building blocks to ping pong balls to a vacuum cleaner!

The show was created in a truly wonderful way, through a residency at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where Peut-Être worked closely with the Psychological Services Department on the methods children apply to order and patterns. Along with their performance of the show at Stratford Circus Arts Centre, Peut-Être are running a workshop full of activities about order, mess and the chaos of childhood, which you can book with the show.

Focusing on colour and shapes, this non-verbal performance was created by early years dance theatre experts to entertain those from age 3 and up. The colourful chaos is like something taken straight from a child’s imagination, making it a visual treat for grown-ups too, however tidy they like things to be!

Tidy Up is at Stratford Circus Arts Centre on Saturday 3rd March. For more information or to book tickets, please visit the website.
