The Story of the Willow Tree
The Story of the Willow Tree
Stratford Circus
3 - 8
13 February 2018
£8 - £10
Thursday 25 January 2018

February half term is the perfect time to escape the monotony of the school routine and travel to a different world, in spirit at least!  Stratford Circus Arts Centre have a concert and workshops that will help you do just that! Head to the Far East and explore the magical story of the Willow Tree and immerse yourself in the culture that comes with it.

The central focus of the day is the concert, which boasts an original score fusing classical and Eastern music traditions. The live music has a dramatic narrative, exploring the story of the Mandarin seeking his long lost daughter through music, song, dance and treasure hunting. The interactive musical adventure is best for ages 3 – 8, but all family members will appreciate the spellbinding concert arrangements.

Then you can add to the magic of the story of the willow tree with the wonderful workshops running alongside the concert! There are three workshops to choose from; create your own Far East inspired soundscape; make your own willow pattern plate or cup; and learn the dance and lyrics of the bluebirds so you can join in when the concert begins. You can even sign up for all three if you really want to immerse yourself in the willow tree story.

This event is run by the team at Tea Dance for Little People, the experts in interactive family experiences. The Story of the Willow Tree promises a creative and fun-filled day out, with exotic musical adventure to whisk you far beyond these shores.

The Story of the Willow Tree is at Stratford Circus on 13th February 2018. To book tickets, please visit the website
