Have you ever wondered why animals can’t save the planet? Giraffes haven’t really been campaigning to stop global warming and rhinos don’t usually make sure to minimise their use of electricity. Seamus Hilley combines wit and wisdom in this new charismatic book about ways in which we, no matter how old we may be, can protect the world we live in.

From the cute and clever dedication, ‘For Planet Earth’ at the beginning all the way to the end which is full of environmentally friendly tips, this is a book that has a conscience, one that is sure to rub off on its little readers. Practicing what it preaches, the book has even been printed on recycled paper!

With rather amusing slapstick illustrations by Stephanie Rohr and catchy rhymes from Seamus Hilley, it’s easy to see why some animals struggle to help the environment cause. We suppose slugs are just too slippery to turn off light switches and hippos can’t really have showers instead of baths because they can’t squeeze into a shower cubicle!

Cheeky and cheery with an important message, Why Animals Can’t Save the Planet and You Can shows that the smallest action can have the biggest impact when it comes to keeping Earthlings (animals and humans alike!) safe.

Love,
